Hi there everybody. What fun this was! The 6 of us working together, and we are still friends lol!! Big thanks to Heather, Cherie and Gator for giving us the chance to do this! Kudos to them for all the work they put in!
So many entries that just wowed us, but it was
quite amazing how we agreed on most of our
choices here from the very start...
So here we have the Top 10s, in no particular
order and the #1 spot, again drawn from a hat!!
Let's see if the spell will be broken this time he he he..
Please take time to really look before you vote.

ReplyDeleteCherie
Congrads to all of the top tens and HM's and thanks for the HM for my photo.......
ReplyDeleteThanks for the honorable mention. Congratulations to everyone! Good luck to the finalists.
ReplyDeleteaha! So that's what happened!! Wondered why it disappeared and then came back with no comments!!
ReplyDeleteI am honored to be chosen for the top 10 this week! Thanks so much guys! I can see I am in some VERY stiff competition! The pictures were fantastic this week!!!
It works... voted. :D
ReplyDeleteThanks for a great competition, and congratulations to all the top ten and honorable mentions!
Oh boy this is going to be hard to choose from!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Cherie for redoing the poll, yes, me thinks it's anyones game lol...
ReplyDeleteMia
Well I made my choice, and Yes it was a hard choice...
ReplyDeleteThese are all outstanding!!! Good luck to all! =)
ReplyDeleteGeez guys.... you really made our choice hard! Congratulations to everyone!
ReplyDeleteYou think you have it hard???? After doing this a couple times, I REALLY appreciate what the admin staff has been doing forever. It is a lot of work (and a lot of fun, too) and special thanks to Mia, Lisa, Joanne, Vic and Mo for all the work they did this week. (Especially with Multiply not cooperating on several days).
ReplyDeleteLOL Harriet, thanks to you too!
ReplyDeleteBoi, I feel I need a resthome now after all this...
Mia
I hear the theme from the twilight zone playing....look at the number one position again.
ReplyDeleteDe nada! I'm going to hold off voting for a while.... I've been voting all week!!!
ReplyDeleteSsssh Cherie, don't mention the war lol
ReplyDeleteworking well now !!!
ReplyDeleteLook at that close race!!!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait for more votes to see !!!
ReplyDeleteCongrats to all. . . and thank you so much for the second time around HM again.....:) More Power to All...
ReplyDeletelooks like the race is on! there were so very many talented entries! while the 'judging' was fun and interesting and hard work, the voting is the icing on the cake!
ReplyDeletecongratulations to all the top tens and HMs!
After this competition, I have a greater appreciation for our usual admins.... they keep us challenged and focused every week, they dedicate a lot of time and creative thought to keep this group together, thank you guys!
Congratulations to all the Top Ten's and Honorable Mentions! This was...to say the least...one of the hardest processes I've ever been involved in...and mind you...I have given birth...twice...LOL
ReplyDeleteSeriously...it was an honor to be given the opportunity to be a small part of this weeks Picture Perfect Bonus Competition.
Please forgive me for not coming to your pages and congratulating you personally...but I had to leave work early this afternoon...there was a sudden death in my family.
Good Luck to Everyone...:-)
Congrats to all!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to all the Top Tens and Honorable Mentions !!!
ReplyDeletecongrats to the TT and HMs!
ReplyDeletewow i havent been able to make all the entries as the temps here are in the 70s and work is slamming this weekend ..however i will try and get around to the TT before voting ..or should I just vote for the #1 spot lol...the six of you did very with the theme ..so is everyone ready to get back to business as usual next week?
ReplyDeleteDefine "business as usual" ....hehehe
ReplyDeleteGave my vote to the one (ONE!) entry who's the only top ten photographer to follow the rule about not having the pic stored at some other web photo repository - all the rest are Photbucket or Flikr!
ReplyDeleteIs it really too much effort to take your Photobucket or Flickr photo, download it back to your computer, then upload it directly into your multiply blog competition entry post?! Sheet!
We who have slow broadband Salute the photographer of Escape Plan!
There is no rule about having your photo stored anywhere. It says to post your entry on Multiply....in other words not to post a link to follow to go see the photo at another site. I hope this will clear that question up for you.
ReplyDeleteMost of us store and edit our photos in other sites....ie Flicker, photobucket, picnik, picasa, etc.
ReplyDeleteok so Val & I were out together w/Monika today when we saw from our phone's the top 10 and we had to congratulate each other. ;) It's always such a surprise and honor. Congrats to one and all! So many great pics.....
ReplyDeleteyes,
ReplyDeletenext silly question?
yay! photo shoot!
ReplyDeleteyes! first time i got to see anyone from multiply! very exciting day. spent the whole time in annapolis. :)
ReplyDeleteso awesome! can't wait to see the pics!
ReplyDeleteYay Kimmie and Val...it's wonderful to meet the people in person. Will be looking forward to the photos
ReplyDeleteit's not really that it's too much effort, it's that we can make our pic the size we like for the page. if we upload it from our computer as a multiply photo onto our blog it's one standard size, and often too small. :)
ReplyDeleteshe is nuts isnt she :P
ReplyDeleteLOL...can't wait to meet you too gator. :)
ReplyDeletehopefully that will be in august :) kimmy...its going to be a great shoot
ReplyDeletelove Nap town to by the way..spent a few months there a few years ago
ReplyDeleteCongrats to all the top ten and honorable mentions. There were so many great pieces this week chosing was difficult. It a pleasure working with Harriet, Joanne, Mia, Mo and Lisa. Thanks M'Ladies, you made it fun.
ReplyDeleteGood luck to each top tenner. After four days looking at this I'm still at odds who to vote for.
Obviously there's a difference interpreting a simple statement written in simple english, even when it is a complex sentence.
ReplyDeleteFrom the "rules": ...
Post your picture on an authentic blog page and not in one of your online photo-albums, or to any site other than Multiply. This makes visiting by the admins easy and hassle free
Simplified - Post your picture on an authentic blog page
not in one of your online photo-albums, or
to any site other than Multiply .
This makes visiting by {everyone] easy and hassle free.
What part of that is so hard to deal with?
as cherie has pointed out..the rules only state that the blog and entry has to be on xply..so you ddont have to redirect to another site to see the image or to comment on it..nothing about the image being hosted and linked back from another source and viewed on xply
ReplyDeletethe pictures ARE posted on our multiply page....doesn't seem hard to understand that.
ReplyDeleteDon't they mean that the picture itself has to be in a Multiply Blog and not a link that takes you outside of Multiply?
ReplyDeleteI mean, if you click on my picture from my blog, yes it will take you back to my Flickr site, but it's the only way I can post a picture that is a decent size. Even if I download the largest photo back onto the computer, and then try and put it in my blog, it shows up as one size, which is too small for the competition.
I'm not sure why the admins would not let a picture that is 'stored' on flickr or photobucket be eligible for a competition? As long as they don't have to navigate OUTSIDE of the Multiply site, what is the problem? Unless I'm missing something......
Picture Perfect Bonus Competition Working together from Earth Eagle on Vimeo.Honorable Mention Slide Show
ReplyDeleteSlide Show for the Top Ten will come on Sunday night or sometime Monday.
you arent missing anything windi
ReplyDeletewhat would the weekend be without some drama????
ReplyDeletei think its pretty clear to everyone that posted this week what the rules are
ReplyDeleteummm drama free?
ReplyDeleteNext time you visit an entry that takes a long time to load,
ReplyDeleteread the status bar at foot of window.
<
That tells you that multiply's system is having to drag your picture
through the bandwidth to get it into the page you're on.
Some sites refer to that as "bandwidth theft";
hence my total acceptance of multiply's rule.
Watching a fast-to-load photo entry, and again read the staus bar
to realise it's only downloading it to your computer direct from the entrant's site,
not crawling the ethernet looking for the darn thing. -->
are you saying that on a slower computer, any picture that has it's original data on an external site like Flickr or Photobucket takes longer to load? And that if it's a picture that has been uploaded from the host's own computer does not take long to load?
ReplyDeleteTHAT I can understand the frustration with, if that's the case. I had no idea that it would load differently on a slower computer....
maybe you were experiencing the lag that most everyone on multiply was experiencing for two days or so
ReplyDeletewilllburr...i love the video!!!
ReplyDeleteThank You.
ReplyDeleteYes I have a lag - I moved from a high-speedbroadband part of town to a low-speed part - three months ago.
ReplyDeleteBut I think I'd rather leave the group than work in an environment where users break rules and deny them without any twinge of conscience.
Or without any inkling of the meaning of the rule itself.
And without admins giving a damn.
So good bye, all,
may you sinkin your own mire.
OMG! You're just being silly now...
ReplyDeleteTHANK YOU _ "By George, she's Got It!"
ReplyDeleteI think she's doing the right thing...
ReplyDeletethen feel free to remove yourself..its not that hard
ReplyDeleteIt's called "having principles".
ReplyDeletethe issue is that we don't know we are 'breaking the rules' because those aren't the rules!! I can understand your frustration with the lag, but I really and truly honestly believe that the rules were just to keep people from making you leave multiply to see the picture, and had nothing to do with the issue you are experiencing.
ReplyDeleteYou seem to be quite angry over something that no one is doing intentionally.....
Gary, there used to be a tutorial here about posting larger images without using a hosting site, because it's how I learned to do it. Is it still here?
ReplyDeleteWoW at the drama
ReplyDeleterolls my eyes..
there is lanie..but the simple fact is it is more convenient to let sites like flickr and photobucket do them..most folks dont want to learn html to learn to change the way xply lets you post
ReplyDeletehehehe, facepalm...
ReplyDeleteThat's true, it is. My photobucket filled up real fast, and I was always forgetting and deleting the pics, lol. That's the only reason I went to posting the other way.
ReplyDeletea while back xply change the way they upload their images..in order for them to save bandwidth..thats why when you upload and image in a blog format its one size
ReplyDeletesimply create extra accounts as they fill up..i have several on flickr as one fills i make another
ReplyDeleteYep, I have two now.
ReplyDeleteI will go check that out, myself, I must have missed it somewhere along the way. I've often wondered how to do that, because sometimes I have a picture on my computer that I want to share, that I don't want to put on Flickr, just so I can get a larger size into my blog!!
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry Redpen is so frustrated, and I can understand the frustration with the lag, but I had absolutely no idea that the load time was different depending on how the pictures were inserted into the blog. I'm betting most people don't, because you'd only know if you had a slower connection than normal.......
I have one at picasa, but it's about to fill up...
ReplyDeleteI don't like the way the pics look when posting through xply's uploader...
i wont use it..cause it sucks
ReplyDeleteI can't even get it to work!!!
ReplyDeleteYup, that's what I said... I think...
ReplyDeletelmao yeah
ReplyDeleteHollwhrt was just being more diplomatic...
ReplyDeleteHehehe, yes, cause that's me... Mr. Diplomatic... :D
ReplyDeletei thought you were ducklomatic
ReplyDelete*sits in the middle of the chaos and smiles*
ReplyDeleteCongrats to all the Top Ten nominees and the HMs. Many thanks for the HM on my photo :-))
ReplyDeleteNB. Nice vid of the HMs by Willlburr.
Sits on the sidelines and knows how to use html, so I watch and laugh all all the funny comments.
ReplyDeletewindi there is no guarantee that a picture and the blog are even going to be stored on the same server by xply..and i go to peoples photo galleries and the pics all load goofy...but yes if you have a slower connection it will cause some degree of lag..but unless you are a dial up im doubting you will see much lag..most of the lag for two days was an internal problem on xply that almost everyone here experienced
ReplyDeleteYup, I couldn't get into it for hours on Friday... or sometime during the week. I don't remember, they all meld into one another.
ReplyDeleteif you look at the code for an image you will see img src= and a bunch of thngs including the site its stored on with a set of brackets around it..images come to us by hyperlinks
ReplyDeleteBottom line for people that are not sure how to load a image or post one is Ask First, go look at how some of the other people are posting, If you don't get it right and get told you are doing it wrong there is no need to make a fuss, either learn the right way or Go away. most of us here do not need or want to hear people complaining, There is enough of that in the real world without having it here.
ReplyDeleteThere I said my Peace...
I know diddly squat about all this stuff, to be honest. All I want is to be able to post the size picture I want into my blog without too much effort, and all the html gobbledygook is completely over my head! hahaha I can copy and paste html, and that's the extent of my knowledge!
ReplyDeleteI'm just trying to understand what the frustration is about on redpenn's end......at least I know know it's not because we don't understand the rules *or are breaking them with nary a twinge of our conscience*! I honestly think she thought you posted the rules because of this 'lag' issue, and not because people were posting links that took you away from Multiply all together (which I remember happening and was annoying)
Ooooo!!! I missed all the excitement when I stepped out for dinner.
ReplyDeleteI use Picasa on my desktop to organize my photos, and when I upload to the online Picasa from there, I have the option of uploading the original sized photo. I would think that would give you a decent resolution (if you took a decent photo to begin with!)
Now, I think I'll vote and see who's doing what!!!
It's okay....she's taken her marbles and gone to play in someone else's sandbox.
ReplyDeleteMine come through divine inspiration...
ReplyDeletelol well lets let it die..folks keep on posting the way you have been..all is good..
ReplyDeletedivine perspiration in your case duckie
ReplyDeletespecial, are you? LOL
ReplyDeleteI lick the windows on the bus... :D
ReplyDeleteLMAO @ I lick the windows on the bus... :D
ReplyDeleteI was thinking more along the lines of white jackets....
ReplyDeleteThere's a closet full of 'em... (ok, so it's the same closet I keep the kids in when they're here, but shhhh...)
ReplyDeleteHey thanks everyone for the top 10 selection! Way cool! Yup, Kimmy, Monika, and I were in Annapolis all day shooting...it was a blast! Especially sitting at dinner congratulating each other on the top 10's~ And we were drama free til we came home! LOL
ReplyDeleteOh Gawd, the drama, seriously this kinda stuff just makes me shake my aching head and wonder WTF?
Can't wait for August! We's gonna have sum fun down in Chuckietown! LOL
did you eat at the cracked claw..down near the city marina?
ReplyDeleteif it takes too long to load...i will go do something else until it does.....its really no big deal.....
ReplyDeletegood heavens.....its called being a drama queen
ReplyDeleteAnother place after my own heart... :D
ReplyDeleteYer so adorable... :D
ReplyDeleteNo, Joss's I think it was for sushi (bait for lunch!) and then Kilkarny (I probably spelled that wrong!) for dinner - Irish pub. But we did walk around the city marina, the naval academy, and the capitol building. It was a blast! More shoots planned for later! It's gonna be a pretty regular thing for us!
ReplyDeleteOh yeah, and I forgot to mention earlier, Congrats to everyone on the top 10's and HM's, totally awesome photos! Be proud!
very kewl ive shot a ton in nap town
ReplyDeleteI moved this back to the top because it got moved way down from all the drama ! Hope this is cool with everyone. The slide Show is now Hosted on Multiply, I figgured out how to use their code :-)
ReplyDeleteSlide Show for the Top Ten will come on Sunday night or sometime Monday.
I went to Nap Town earlier today... :D
ReplyDeleteLOL...I'm about to have myself a "Nap attack" LOL. Hey, work on Cynde and get her to come down for the August shoot! Autotrain is a cheap ride= drops right at Charlotte, 1 1/2 hours from Chuckietown! You and your car travel in style and comfort, no wear and tear on either of you.
ReplyDeleteOk...
ReplyDeleteSpeaking of Chuckietown, we have to schedule a camera cleaning demo for sure this trip! LOL
ReplyDelete
ReplyDeletesharing here for all PP to see. :) val, monika, kimmy at tecumseh (naval academy) a VERY windy day! haha

ReplyDeleteval, monika and i on this BLUSTERY DAY in annapolis!!! a lovely marine midshipman took this one of us standing in front of tecumseh. :)
OMG my hair!! LMAO!!
ReplyDeletelol you were saying that all day! ;)
ReplyDeleteThat is what I thought but wasn't sure if rules had been changed. I use a Multiply album and my external hard drive for photos and videos because that is what works for me.
ReplyDeleteI bet you three had a blast.
ReplyDeleteWish I could of come.
Loved the picture on flickr.
Your hair looked great I mean wild. LOL!
You keep good company.
I have had this pleasure, meeting some of my contacts though our love of horses, developing friendships in person.
ReplyDeleteThis is so very beautiful and most thoughtful of you, thank you. You're a class act :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the honor to be in the top 10 with so many
ReplyDeletewonderful photo's.
Congratulations to everyone up there and the honorable mentions and
everyone that entered the competition.
You all rock!!!
When I visited the top ten and honorable mentions tonight, it was slower than usual, but not as bad as it was for a couple of days. I do have DSL though our rural telephone cooperative but we're on the "end" of the line so it's not real fast but so much better than dial up.
ReplyDeleteWindows has a real easy re-sizer for photos. Large, Medium, small, and mobile. Re-size the original or make a copy and keep the full size which I do. Can re-size one or a whole file. Free program. Does not work on vista. I use the small for emails & Facebook, etc but have started using the mobile since a lot of friends use their phones and not computers.
ReplyDeleteGreat job on the slidshow Will.
ReplyDeleteI loved it.
I agree with Maggie You are a class act.
we truely did have a blast! wish you could have been here too sue. one day!!! :))
ReplyDeletei literally live 20 minutes from monika and have been friends w/her on xply for over 3 yrs.
can't believe this is the first time we've gotten together. it took val to do that. ;) she lives
40 min from me. anytime anyone near maryland wants to get together with us let us know!
we definitely want to do it more.
Does anyone every come to the panhandle of Texas? I'm a long ways from everything!
ReplyDeleteYep definitely.
ReplyDeletecongrats on the top ten and hm!
ReplyDeletewill be back later to view nominees and vote.
Thank you all and Sue I really want to Thank You for convincing me to join this Club.
ReplyDeleteThank You.
ReplyDeletePlease feed me!!
ReplyDeleteHoly crap!!! I get called into work and come back to another freak show!!! Willburr, your video is absolutely beautiful - what a thoughtful thing to do!
ReplyDeleteCongrats to the Top Ten nominees and to the Honorable Mention folks. We had a really hard time choosing all the pics - all of them were phenomenal. What a pleasure it was working with Vic, Mia, Harriett, Lisa and Mo - you're all an absolute delight!
Yes, agree 100%
ReplyDeleteWhere does Holy Crap come from ? The Pope or is there another source ?
ReplyDeleteLMAO ....
ahahahahahaa!!!!!
ReplyDeleteVery tight race !!!
ReplyDeletewilllburr What a great idea and video !!!!
ReplyDeleteMmm hmmm he was lovely alright! LOL...Val and her dollies! LOL...I could put both of them in my pocket! Hee Hee...figured out why there weren't a lot of the midshipmen out and about...there was a basketball game today apparently...LOL.
ReplyDeleteBrrr it was cold out there too! Good thing I had on a t-shirt and a sweatshirt under that flannel coat! I'm just now starting to thaw out!
And I am so excited to be part of that race. Thanks everyone for the comments on my photo. It's an honor to be among the other top ten. The honorable mentions are great too.
ReplyDeleteGood Morning everyone. As per usual you all have a head start on us here in Africa, I presume Europe too would have that problem.146 comments already, so better get reading and voting. Congratulations to all Top Ten and to all the HM. I see my choice is amongst the Tops so voting will be easy for me this time. Thank you to Harriet, Joanne, Mia, Monica, Vic and Lisa ,in no particular order *grins* for the super job they have done this week. Thank you to Gator, Heather and Cherie for allowing it. Next week ??????????????? Gosh, see we had drama again while I slept ???? Oh well, sure it got sorted without too many feathers ruffled. Love you all ! Have a Super Sunday !!
ReplyDeleteThank You.
ReplyDeleteuuuuuuuuuh, you all look freezing cold. I am jealous, you are lucky you are so close that you can visit.
ReplyDeleteCongratualions to All Nominees and HMs .... And a big thank you for the TOP 10 honor!
ReplyDelete*chuckle* ..............well said, Cherie.
ReplyDeleteHave not had my coffee yet and you guys are making me laugh too much.
ReplyDeleteI will ditto that one 100 % . The dedication of you guys are overwhelming.
ReplyDeleteand there is always so many people eager to share their knowledge. I know I have asked several silly questions and yelled Help several times and always my inbox is full of kind helpful advice from tons of members. It really is an awesome group and true, true, the last thing we need is drama and complaining.
ReplyDeletere: redpen aka Lynne:: ( whom I do not know at all) In some way I hear where she is coming from, though without the anger and malice *smile* I also have a very slow ADSL line, and some photos takes ages to show when I visit the page. Could be this is what she refers to ?? I take my photos from my file in My Documents in Windows, upload to Picnik or Flickr or Photobucket to do my edits and framing, save them back into Desktop, Multiply Photos and then upload them into My Blog. If I size them 600 x 900 I then save as draft, click on the photo for HD , copy that , go edit the blog, paste into blog and voila the right size, sometimes *grins* I have had a lot of advice about sizing but sometimes still battle.
ReplyDeleteThat said, the malice and anger was uncalled for in those comments .
Sure looks like the spell is broken from where I am sitting. Dillon and Colt is winning by a nose I think.
ReplyDeleteJust popped by each Top Ten before I voted, haven't been around at all for this comp, sorry all...but wow what a fantastic array of pictures this week...I had a really hard time voting!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much to our Top Ten Winners for hosting this weeks competition, you've done an awesome job!!
Every single Top Ten selection and HM adhered strictly to the rules laid down by the admins of this site!
ReplyDeleteI have engaged in endless pms with you during the past few weeks. There is NO rule that says people cant store their pictures on flickr, photobucket or any other site. The rule is..that the link you leave here on Picture Perfect takes us to your multiply site. I'm not sure how many people can answer that question in ways you are able to understand...
Sheet..you are not expected to click on any-ones picture in the first place. Just go to their pages and look at the darn picture...look, don't touch!
Wow what a tight race we have here folks! And looks like we have broken the #1 spell for this year lol! Not that the image isn't deserving of a win, I don't mean that at all!!
ReplyDeleteI don't understand the complaint from Ms redpenn at all she has been complaining at I&W also but there she is talking about bandwith theft and that anyone who shares an image hosted by another site is a thief lol!!
CONGRATS TO THE TOP TEN AND TY FOR CHOOSING MINE AS HM
ReplyDeleteehhh... all the entries are exceptionally great. the shots are so vivid and clear. the photos just mind blowing. i will vote later. so hard to decide now.
ReplyDeleteuh-oh. someone's throwing tantrums?!!!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to All. Nice team efforts.
ReplyDeleteI love a rational debate and difference of opinion, but when someone is just plain nasty its time to show them the door...
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely wonderful pictures this week..
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to the HM and the other Top Ten! So many beautiful and interesting images to see here!
ReplyDeleteAlso those who are not mentioned!
What Marianne describes here now seems the only way to get a decent size photo into a blog
ReplyDeletewithout using a hosting site. I found my photos came out too big doing it that way, but you can
actually change the size in the html code to what you want. It won't let you, when using the "share"
code... Earlier, you could also click up to any slide show size and then copy and paste from there.
But now that doesn't seem to work anymore...
Dial up is going to be slow...even if there isn't a picture...just sayin,,,:-)
ReplyDeleteI think you helped me with that one???? It is time consuming, but I could not do it any other way, could not get it right. My connection is too slow. I could upgrade but Internet access is very expensive in South Africa, just like cell-phones are and even landlines. We have one of the highest tariffs in the world.
ReplyDeleteI often sit for 2 hours just looking at the entries, as they take so long to upload. The picture literally inches across the screen as it emerges, some I can go to the bathroom and back before they appear.
???????????????????????????????
ReplyDelete@ marianne, may i suggest you moving here in korea? we have 100mbps internet connection for just 24 bucks a month. just sayin:)
ReplyDelete@mowm: if the photo from the multiply album is too big, it can always be re-sized on the edit window by just dragging the corners (the photo size will show if you point your cursor on the corner of the photo) until you get the desired size.
wow, it's such a close race
ReplyDeleteVoted!!! WOW great pictures people!!!! congratulations to the TT AND hm!!! AND THE GREAT HOSTS!!! great working together!!!
ReplyDeletelol, thank you , what would I do there for a living though?????? Have to ask my man first, think he might object. *smile*
ReplyDeleteLots of drama here today. I have no idea how to size for Multiply, so I create a blog in Blogspot and import it to Multiply. Basic and easy for a lady that has very little computer knowledge. I hope I am meeting your requirements.
ReplyDeleteMorning all..
ReplyDeleteWell the trick I use is that when copying the html code from my 'large' picture in flickr, I always choose a width of 740 then delete the height which then allows the picture to adjust automatically to the correct height. I only copy the part of the html from < img though, and this will then prevent anyone from clicking on the picture and accessing my flickr account.
If you click on the header here for instance it wont take you anywhere...
what is the best size to use when posting photos shot 'portrait' rather than landscape?
ReplyDeletestill 4 and a half hours to go...
ReplyDeletewhat an excellent advise! I've been pondering on this..
ReplyDeleteI have... back in Nov. of 06.... it was awesome! Took some wonderful photos that weekend, too. :)
ReplyDeleteHee Hee...Sue, I say we don't tell them that the two with the least votes are actually the winners! LOL...Lordy wouldn't that create some drama! LOL...I'm just being bad now...and laughing at all the foolishness!
ReplyDeleteTo funny !
ReplyDeleteI wanted to get in one last vote before my surgery. I wont' be online at all for a while. I still don't have a computer though, I'm using my son. These photos are all awesome. There's a few that I would love to have framed and hanging on my wall, but I've chosen one I'd have for a winner if I were judge. Best of luck to all.
ReplyDeleteOne hour and twenty something minutes to go...:-)
ReplyDeleteBest of luck on the surgery !
ReplyDeleteit's sure been an interesting race to watch. i got to get back to the yard now tho.
ReplyDeleteTick Tock...Tick Tock...This Last Hour Is The Worst!
ReplyDeleteYes Mj, that's an option, but I find it distorts the image and you have to get the proportions right.
ReplyDeleteMultiply claims that you can also make the image bigger by dragging the corners and that
certainly doesn't work for me, talk about pixel distortion!
Yes, one hour to go and isn't it the tightest race ever!!!!
ReplyDeleteyou can work as an ESL teacher!
ReplyDeletei do that all the time with my blog photos. the photos dont seem to be distorted.
ReplyDeleteand yeah heather is right, removing the reference link part of the html code (a href something something) embedding only the image (img... something) will prevent anyone from going to the original source of the photo when they click on it.
about 30 minutes to go and it's a tight race, a great race.....
ReplyDeleteI am so glad to have had the opportunity to work with some new people that I might not have interacted with..... Mia, Harriet, Joanne and Vic..... of course Lisa, who is just a part of me.... thanks for being so easy to work with!
the competitions were great, and the judging was a great experience, but looking forward to handing back the reins to the admins..... who really rock!
