Nothing is clearly defined,
so many shades of grey and shadow
in everything.
No family is perfect,
no soul
no experience untainted by life.
of the pain life holds,
and love
what hardships
and tears we have shed
also of joy
and
what richness we would miss if our lives
like the picture
were seeped of all its colour
