Picture Perfect ~ competition rules and outline

lil canon 005

Well its that time again..our Winter Competition is about to begin, next week Wed in fact. This time there will be a few challenges we haven't experienced before. So in order for things to run as smoothly as possible we thought it best to outline our plans and hear any of your concerns.

**Please read this and the rules on the home page, carefully**

*Blogger and Muze will be the only places the themes will be posted. However you may post your pictures on any site of your choice, just leave your link and make sure your page is open to all.

*Leave your ONE link in one place only, we will check both Blogger and Muze but multiple links only complicate things.

* The poll will be on Muze only, there is no way a fair poll can run in two places. we will leave a link on Blogger to the poll (on Muze) once its up.

* There will only be a top 5 and 5 HM's from now on. Our numbers have gone down with the demise of multiply and so we feel an adjustment needed to be made.

The rules apply as usual. Please please take the time to read the blogs and emails we send out folks, we try and explain things as clearly as we can and don't mind answering questions of course, but its so frustrating when questions that have been clearly addressed in either the emails or blogs, are asked over and over again.

We are scattered far and wide now, but we all hope to see as many of the old faces posting next week and some new participants as well. We have 6 fabulous new themes waiting for your creativity..let the fun begin!

Blogger folk you can use your Google account to log into Muze,  add the link to your readers lists for an easy connection...

See you all next Wednesday :)

regards
Heather

    2. I've tried that, it only works if you actually have a Muzenews account.

    3. We are not expecting you to join if thats not what you want to do, but just to make the voting situation a little easier is all..it doesnt have to become your site of choice at all.

  2. So basically if you don't have a Muze account, you can't vote in the poll?

    1. Nobody HAS to do anything they dont want to obviously. All I really want everyone to be able to participate no matter where we are, Im trying to figure out the easiest way this work, to make us a cohesive group as we move beyond Multiply, maybe we should try blogger one week and Muze the next and see which is more feasible..Im totally open to suggestions?

I dont want this to become a case of anyone feeling as though they are being forced to open a Muze account to vote when that isnt the case at all. I truly am trying to accommodate everyone, but it may mean some compromise during competition times.

However I think in order for us to encourage reciprocal visits from both Muze and Blogger, we need to get over our differences before they rip us to shreds as a whole. It is possible to have accounts in both places, even if its only to make things work smoothly during competition time.

    3. Heather, I think we must have misunderstood the words in your blog
"Blogger folk you can use your Google account to log into Muze, add the link to your readers lists for an easy connection..."

I thought I could just log in, and leave a link, but I get the message:
"amaliebergen@gmail.com does not have an account. Try a different email address, or sign up for a new account.
      I still can't sign in."

Your last suggestion sounds fine to me, maybe that would encourage the former Multiply group to more activity and staying together.

    4. Actually until you and Mitch said you couldn't access Muze without first creating an account ..I thought you could! I thought that would be the easiest way...but if some folk are against opening an account there even if its just for voting purposes then we may have a problem...

    5. I fear that some of the problems of running the competition on both sites are going to prove insurmountable. There are far more folks over on Muze who either refuse to use Blogger or just can't understand how it works. I don't think posting the poll on Blogger on alternate weeks is going to prove popular with them. A lot of them won't even come over to look at an entry. You're probably better off leaving things as they are. Those of us on Blogger will have to decide if we want to open a Muze account just for the polls, or alternatively not vote. It's far from ideal, but I can't think of another alternative.

    6. there may be a way of opening Muze for the day of voting which would allow you to vote without logging in at all...Im looking into it, we wont have anyway of seeing if it works until the day of voting though..

    7. That would be good, if it's possible. I'll await further news.
