This Week's Theme . . .REPETITION

Welcome to PICTURE PERFECT

Each week a theme will be posted up on Wednesday, and you are invited to put up your best picture with that theme in mind, it should be just

 ONE and ORIGINAL,

 not off the internet,

then post a comment on this page

so that everyone can link to your page and see your pic.

By all means mention your camera and lens used!

Open that page for viewing for all...and visit as many as you can!

The entries will close at midnight on Friday.

Have fun out there!

Repetition

How pleasing the flow becomes

 as one becomes many

all exactly alike

but different

one placed right

next to the other

individual texture

creates a uniform visual appeal

an echo

a suggestion that it may never end...

It looks so beautiful and makes the feeling so calm and happy.
You're so lucky to be able to experience the vineyard there.
I wish someday I could do the same with my family.

  31. A beautiful picture! And the last line of your poem is intriguing. Perhaps that's why we like visual repetition -- because it's "a suggestion that it (and we?) may never end..."

  42. My insanity is posted. I mean my blog. I really like your picture. BEAUTIFUL! Grapevines are beautiful in every form. In a large orchard, on a hill in Napa Valley, in a backyard in suburbia. They are gorgeous. Have I mentioned that my post is up? I guess I'm being a little repetitive. By the way, I really like your picture. LOL

    ReplyDelete
  46. Cool Shot and words!!! I was trying to get a similar shot of the lettuce fields over in Salinas Valley, but not going to be able to get over there, sooo I went another direction.

    ReplyDelete
  47. I like this ~ the sunlight gives it a magical appeal, and the verse fits it perfectly. :)
I'm just home from my night shift, and about to do mine before heading for bed...

    ReplyDelete

  54. Repetition is so lovely indeed... the beauty of uniformity and patterns is unmistakable, especially in nature. An abundant theme!!!

Mine is up, and I'm so sorry I can't get around as much... trying hard to finish my novel before the Dec. first deadline... :)

  66. I love that picture. I remember the vineyards from when I lived in Fresno. I also used to go up to Napa to visit a friend. I took a hot air balloon ride over them. It's an awe inspiring sight to behold.

My submission is up too. (I cheated. You'll see.)

    ReplyDelete
  67. Nice pic! I like your words - they could apply to my picture also, I think. I'm up! Turtles in Oahu.

    ReplyDelete
  68. that is a beautiful image! so much better than mine!

Come one come all see what I posted!

  69. Great shot. Not many vineyards near to me unfortunately. This one also would have done nicely for the 'Fall' contris a few weeks back. Been too busy to do a new one so yet again I've been forced to scour my library for something. Pop over and take a look at my measly contribution this week.

    ReplyDelete
  70. Yay! I found the site and I posted. I see I have a LOT of visiting to do!

    ReplyDelete
  71. had many to chose from but then I saw these pics I took and realized that this is true repetition

    ReplyDelete
  72. Beautiful picture, as always.

I'm late, and sick, but mine is posted now. I'll be back this weekend to visit blogs.

    ReplyDelete
  73. Mine was up earlier. Forgot to mention it . . .

    ReplyDelete
  74. I spent 5 years in Stellenbosch..... I love the repetition of the planting and the rows and the roses they plant with the vines. The different textures and angles at which each vineyard has been planted creates an amazing patchwork of colour and texture, especially when viewed from above. Very beautiful!

    ReplyDelete
  75. Visiting wine country is always a lovely day. My wife and I love visiting the different areas in California... thanks for taking me back in time to those wonderful spots with your take and your theme. It's beautiful.

    ReplyDelete
  76. Great photo Heather, I love to go to the vineyards, and yes they seem so endless yet the same. What a wonderful way to spend the day. :)

    ReplyDelete
  77. LOVE how you interpreted the theme, & with one of my favorite things, too! I'm actually heading to wineries today. Great photo...well done.

Mine's finally up, come on by!

  80. I'm back. Maybe I can be LTC. At any rate, cool picture. Reminded me of the vineyards I visited in Oregon a few years back. Didn't post a photo this time, but now that I think of it...a picture of me hollering at my kids for being naughty might have been a good one...;)
