Each week a theme will be posted up on Wednesday, and you are invited to put up your best picture with that theme in mind, it should be just
ONE and ORIGINAL,
not off the internet,
then post a comment on this page
so that everyone can link to your page and see your pic.
By all means mention your camera and lens used!
Open that page for viewing for all...and visit as many as you can!
The entries will close at midnight on Friday.
Have fun out there!
the connotation is so varied,
for many
a gathering of friends and family
of reaping our rewards
at the end of a vigourous growing season,
It may mean a celebration of hard work
a preparation of difficult times forseen,
a change in the weather,
both inside and out.
However,
the timing is not always ours to choose
the cycle not always ours to manipulate
as a multitude of factors collaborate
to create confusion
but in the end
ensure perfect timing
in our universe.
It's a time to reminisce
and hold close
to that and those who are dear
its a time of no regrets
but rather a time of gratitude for a fulfilled life
and a chance perhaps for another season
in this complex cycle of life.
Very nice sentiments! Hope you have a Wonderful ThanksGiving!

That's a great shot. The colors are so rich.
ReplyDeleteHere's my entry : http://antyharton.multiply.com/journal/item/56/Harvest - a bit of a different interpretation than Thanksgiving Harvest time :-)
ReplyDeleteGreat colors on the corn. This is going to be a tough one!
ReplyDeleteI have to second this. I have never seen a corn like that. It's indeed a very pretty one. The colors, are they originally like that?
ReplyDeleteI agree with what you said about harvest. The main point is not only the result but also the way all the family can be together and celebrate it - the togetherness.
Which is kind of like us - even though not everybody is celebrating it right now; all of us are thankful for being here and having Picture Perfect together. *smile*
I have the picture for this theme - I will come back and let you know after it is up.
Thanks so much, Heather! *hugs*
Well, I'm back and mine is up!
Ups, I didn't see this when I post my comment above... so sorry. :-|
ReplyDeleteSo it's Indian corn... way cool! Again, thanks so much for the theme!
Happy thanksgiving to you and your family! *hugs*
I posted mine early this week, as I'm going out tomorrow and sure as little green apples grow on trees, by the time I get home, I won't remember what I had thought of posting. You can see my entry here.
ReplyDeleteI always wondered about that colourful corn. Does it taste the same as 'regular' corn? For me, it would take a lot of getting used to. Great photo : )

Wow what a theme! Great shot from the uni con (unique corn:) from your hand. I have never eaten this kind of corn. Usually in Indonesia or in Germany we eat the yellow one. In Indonesia we even give chili margarine and sugar before making barbeque with it. We called it jagung bakar. So many shops in pedestrians in Semarang or Yogyakarta cities provide this stuff with only 1 Euro (for 3 stucks). Anyway, mine is up. Can't wait your comment to mine. HIyaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!
ReplyDeleteA lovely colourful image .... my effort is now in situ ...
ReplyDeletehaven't seen corn like that in a long long time... reminds me of the stuff my mom would get this time of year :-) mine is up... it's 3am on Friday morning, lol... I'll get to folks pages as I am able :-)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful words to a terrifci theme... and I've never seen corn in that rich dark color of purple or violet before. That photo makes me want to steam them up and bite right in. :-)
ReplyDeleteLovely sentiment Heather, and lovely photo as always. I'm off to the inlaws for leftovers today (in so many ways *giggle*) but I'll get around as best I can.
